I went with Queensville Sod because their price was competitive. Not worth the savings.
The topsoil delivered was not a very good quality. They kept calling to push back the delivery date of sod. When it arrived, it was about 1:30pm on a very hot day (4 days late), and was the last 2 skids on the truck. I covered them with a tarp to protect them from the sun, but the rolls got warmer and warmer as the day went on. .I'm guessing that they were decomposing, they were so hot.The rolls were also not as thick as I would have liked. Anyways, about the half the sod turned yellow very quickly, despite lots of water. The other half thrived. I've determined that one side of the skid was healthy, and the other not.
I think they service mostly large companies and projects who care more about price than quality, and they certainly didn't treat the little guy well.
If you're looking for sod for own yard, spend the extra 50 cents a roll and get the good stuff somewhere else.
