This history/art museum is newly renovated in a heritage building that was once a post office and once a jail. It has two floors of exhibition space. The upper floor has a nice view over the lake. There are many programs for adults, youth and children. The art exhibits are challenging and intriguing.

Newly renovated, bright and well-laid out, spacious gallery upstairs and down, local artists and artisans wares for sale as well in a small gift shop in the lobby. By donation only, so anyone can enjoy.

An undiscovered gem

Recently reopened following a major expansion the museum is definitely worth a visit. The new upper gallery is light, spacious and really pretty now looking onto the lake. Local art, local history, creative programs for children the museum is on it's way to becoming one of the focal cultural attractions of Orillia.
