They call you and try to pressure you into agreeing to a shipment of toner for your office printing equipment; even if you don't actually agree, they still send you the product.
It sounds like just two people using fake names -- the female calls pretending to be a sales rep, and the male handles all the follow-up once the scam is evident; claiming to have recorded conversations that "prove" you placed orders, threatening legal action if you don't pay up, etc. Unfortunately for them, under Canadian law, any consumer is entitled to change their mind about any purchase and return product for a full refund so long as the product is not clearly identified as non-refundable.
We've notified them that we reject the goods, demanded they retrieve the product, and have also reported them to the Competition Bureau and to Toronto Police.
These so called people called and trick an innocent receptionist to think they were their company toner supplier. It was so convient for the representative who took the orginal order is on mat leave. This very bad business ethics and I will not stop unit they get reported the correct person. Abviously all the sales reps and owner are on drugs, because there is no way they can sleep at night, if they had a soul....F**K ALL THE OWNERS AND SALES REPS, ANYONE IN THE THING THEY CALL A BUSINESS!!!!!ITS NOT A BUSINESS, IT'S A SCAM!!!
They sent us a photocopier toner without us ordering it and charged $400. We can buy it for $55 from our photocopier company. Please help put these people out of business. We called and only got rudeness. They are scam bags.
Received a bill for $460 for a toner we didn't order. Name of Lisa Burns as the salesperson on the invoice. Asked for her, and had call returned by Ian Gilbert, saying Lisa wasn't there. No receptionist at company. Called 3 times and always put to voicemail. Ian's voice on every recording which leads me to think he's the only one there. Ian very, very charming on phone. Which raised my suspicions. He had one of our employee's name on file saying that he ordered it. Spoke to employee who said that all he did was confirm our copier model when Office Products Centre called saying they "had an order on file". That's the scam. Trick employees into believing an order was made, then have them confirm the copier model so the right toner is sent. We have a lease with Pitney Bowes which includes consumables, so we would never order toner. Ian's tactic is to create a good "story". The one he invented for us was that the product was ordered back in June. His company called us in October apologizing that the order was forgotten, and was going to send it out. Called again confirming it was received. My employees being none the wiser, played into his scam. He puts months between the "order" date and billing date so as to make his victims believe his story could be plausible, and hope that people's memories fail them, and agree to his story . When I insisted to Ian we didn't order it, he became borderline verbally abusive and loud saying that wouldn't my employee be embarrassed if we had all our company calls recorded, only to find out my employee ordered the toner after all. And why would he send a toner we didn't order. It was on the tip of my tongue to say "because you're a scammer", but thought better of it. Thanks to a quick Google search, I find other companies have been scammed by him. Now I have to incur a $20 courier fee to return a toner I didn't order. I have called the police to file a report. PLEASE DO THE SAME IF YOU HEAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Sales rep misrepresented themselves as our current supplier. $40 replacement toner cartridge was delivered, then invoiced at $390.
Avoid them like the plague.
