This vegetarian institution hasn't changed much over the years, and the lineups during peak hours indicate that's a good thing. The atmosphere and service are as relaxed (at times excruciatingly slow) as ever, and wholesome food is still served 24/7. Naam, the: Great Vegetarian!
July 19, 2006This little vegetarian restaurant is located on the West Side of Vancouver along West 4th. The funky decor and tight spaces make it feel pretty relaxed and easy to unwind in. There is a small patio as well for the summertime. The veggie burrito is pretty good while they also have dandelion coffee. The menu offers pretty much anything you'd want in a vegetarian establishment.

August 15, 2005I am not impressed by this restaurant. It is full of hippies and posers. I do not see why everyone says the food is so great as vancouver as many other restaurants far superios - and yes - also vegetarian. Food is awesome. Miso gravy on anything is good. The only issue is the service. VERY BAD. Always a long wait and takes forever to get the bill. But we will always come back when visiting Vancouver from Seattle.
