Try to set aside at least 2 hours for a visit to this terrifically engrossing museum. Open since 1988, it's an innovative presence on the waterfront of historic Basse-Ville. First time visit to this museum was well worth the time. It is under some construction and should be even better in a few months time.Saw a really interesting exhibit on Haitian art and Greek antiquities. Lots of glass and light. Great for families

the exhibits were very good especially the First nations one. Only disappointing thing was the lack of English explanations. Nice to see anyway. There is a brilliant cafe and the gift shop was a cut above the rest, very nice merchandise.
