This "restaurant Provençal" channels the spirit of a modest village cafe in France, in both its sunny decor and its friendly atmosphere. Better yet, the food is fairly priced and tasty. The Bouillabaisse à la Provençale is a rich broth with big chunks of salmon, flakey white fish, mussels, scallop, and shrimp, served with rounds of bread and a porcelain spoon with tangy rouille. Tasty food and welcoming hosts
08 août 2014On our first night in Québec, we enjoyed a very pleasant dinner at Mistral Gagnant. The menu offers a nice variety of classic French dishes. We ordered from the table d'hote pages, which includes a complete meal for C$35 to C$40. Great food and service
06 août 2014This little gem is just out of the tourist line-ups, but had better food than some of the higher-rated restaurants we went to just around the corner. The bouillabaisse was excellent and the service just attentive enough. Walk the extra block and go here.

Transported back to a fishing village on the med
04 août 2014I havent been to the south coast of France since i was 20 odd but 27 years later i was transported back again by a truly magnificent bouillabaisse and the charming and jovial owners. The dated interior adds to the charm so don't let that guide your decision to go. Highly recommended.
