Best Chinese in town - the menu is great too as it's not so "typical" but still familiar.
Ming's was a favorite place for Peking Duck for many years. Harkening back to an untouched '60s kind of vibe made charming because of the delicious food and the uniformed waiters, sadly, over the last two visits we've seen a rapid erosion of this once venerable institution. We have been to Ming's more than once on our visits to Victoria but I think this will be the last time. There have to be better Chinese restaurants in town than this one. Only plus was a very pleasant waiter who made us feel welcome and gave us good service but the small number of diners on a Saturday... more
Poor quality ingredients and lousy preparation. An example is their lemon chicken which they should call lemon chicken skin, the dish is 3/4's chicken skin. They sandwich a paper thin slice of chicken between 2 layers of chicken skin and cover with a lemon sauce. We asked the manager about it an he claims that's the way they been doing... more
