So... The rooms are nice so far. We checked in this afternoon and ordered room service off the late night menu: 1) the sandwiches we ordered are on the menu with "home made Yukon gold potato chips," and they showed up with mixed nuts instead; 2) the Caesar salad, per the menu, includes bacon and croutons - but didn't when we received it. Convenient and confortable hotel located at a fantastic place to discover Vancouver: near the ocean, Downtown, art center and the public library. Staff friendly and efficient.
The Met's central location is nice, but the vibe is unnecessarily pretentious (down to the name of the hotel bar, "Diva") and the decor lacks taste. Seemed overpriced and the tech was slightly out-of-date: Outlet options were power-strips plugged into the wall. The toilet phone was weirdly charming.
