On a une belle vue de partout. Difficile à battre comme endroit pour assister à un concert rock intimement.
After starting life as a skating rink in 1884, the 2,300-capacity Métropolis is now a prime showplace for traveling rock groups, especially for bands on the way up or retracing their steps down. It has recently hosted Adele, Lauryn Hill, Prince, and Polaris Prize winner Karkwa. There's also a small attached lounge, Le Savoy.
Came here for an Interpol concert. Place was PACKED. The bar tenders definitely worked for their pay that night. Place was cool. A great venue to go catch a concert. Originally was a skating rink at the end of the 19 century which was converted into a theater. Burnt down a few times. Opened up once again as a porn cinema in the 70s through to the mid-80s...And then finally finally the Metropolis as we know it today. This was my second visit to Metropolis, and I had a fantastic time, yet again. My first visit here was several years ago to see Jack's Mannequin and Fun preform.
