Horrible horrible place - stay away!!

I went to this place on Thursday to get a fill. They had a vietnamese movie playing on their tv that would make Scarface look like a kids show. Very unprofessional and something I could not avoid since the tv sits directly in front of the nail stations. By Friday one of my nails had broken off so I went in on Saturday to get it fixed. I spent 20 minutes and left with it fixed. Next day I had a split on one nail and 2 others had chipped and cracked. I wasn't able to get in to get them fixed and knew that Lin 9who did my nails) was not in on Monday so I would go back on Tuesday. I was running late Tuesday and popped in to show Lin and to book an appt to get them fixed another day (by this time another one had peeled off). The other girl there, Ginny told me to sit, she would take 5 minutes and fix it. I decided I could afford 5 minutes and she proceeded to remove the top layer of every nail. When she put the gel on top she packed it on extra thick - it was unbelievably thick! I left there after 45 minutes - a far cry from the 5 minutes I was assured when I walked in. Next morning I got out of the shower and 2 more had cracked. I have been getting my nails done for over 10 years and I have never had to return 3 times in less that a week to get my nails fixed. I went back that night and asked for a refund. Ginny YELLED at me from the back room while working on another customer that they do not give refunds. I got the name of the owner and her phone # - Mai - and called her. When I finally got ahold of her (not until Saturday) she told me "if I was NICE I would just go away and not come back" I told her I wanted my money back as her shop did not provide a satisfactory product or service. She was YELLING at me - on the phone - while doing nails on antoher customer at her other shop!! I did not get my $35 back but promised I would save someone else the expense and aggrivation that I had.
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST NAIL SHOP AND BUSINESS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Please do not support Magic Nails anywhere in Calgary and Airdrie as they are all affiliated. Go to La Belle Nails and Spa - it is very clean, professional and they stand behind their work.
