Ideally located in the heart of downtown, directly across from Confederation Park and the National Arts Center. Lord Elgin is steps away from the Rideau Canal, Congress Centre and Parliament
at first, the French food is really so great and delicious. the price is very reasonable and the quality of service is fairly high. additionally, its location in the centre of Ottawa is very convenient for any travel to other places. A very memorable experience!
Stayed for a short night after watching the Nutcracker Show just across the street at the Centre National des Arts. Located right downtown, I loved the short walk to the theater and loved the warmth and the soul of this hotel! Enjoyed the delicious meal at the hotel we had for dinner. With 75% occupancy, on the second night an unsupervised group of young hockey players were booked into room adjacent to two seniors. 2 calls to the front desk between 1am and 2.15 were necessary due to kicks to the door, shouting and profanity. In effect, a night's sleep was lost through insensitive, unprofessional booking practices. Free breakfasts and a small discount cannot make up for one... more
We often stay at the hotel when getting together with friends for a night out. It's close to the Market and it's right on Elgin. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Starbucks in the lobby is a great early morning start too.
