My husband and I have been here 3 times, and each time the food has been fantastic. It's a shame there have been some negative experiences from other reviewers, because this really is a great little restaurant. In addition, the prices are very reasonable.
So... my one piece of advice is: don't let the bad reviews scare you away. Give...

Glitches made up for
July 17, 2013Our 2nd try of this restaurant. Our first, dinner a few months ago was disappointing... This day though: Ordered three of the lunch specials (libra chicken, teriyaki, ginger beef) to share. They were out of the spring rolls that accompanies the meal usually but included a substitute. Snafu meant we got the wrong dish but it was quickly rectified. And... more

It is real Chinese food and makes me homesick
May 15, 2013I do like the food in Libra because the portion is big enough, price is reasonable( all dishes are under $15) and beautiful plating. The chef followed the traditional recipe and hotel style plating. In China, we called NEW CLASIC. Finally we have a real semi-fine dining Chinese restaurant in Nanaimo.
