Rude Service and Mediocre Food
Going to this cafe was an extremely stressful experience. The line-up was long and when I got to the front, the staff - especially the brunette manager - was extremely rude. Her attitude was order and get out of my way. I actively felt stressed about ordering.
Once you order, you get a receipt that you have to take to the bar and hand over to the barrista yourself. So you end up jockeying in position because everybody else is milling about waiting for their orders - some with receipt in hand. Oh, and the barrista looked annoyed with me as I handed over my receipt.
As for the food & drink, after all the stress, it was definitely not worth the it. The food was ok BUT exceptionally overpriced. I would honestly expect to pay 2/3 or 1/2 (in some cases) for what they charge. (Oh, and what is more confusing is that they bring to you your food - they forgot my utensils, etc.).
As for the drink, I ordered a hot chocolate that tasted more like drinking chocolate syrup. It was gross and I threw it out (ordered in to go cup).

My first time here, and I would never come back. The fries with my angus burger were dark - indicative of using the spoiled part of the potato; it tasted like that, too. Excellent Service, Good Food but a little disorganized

My wife and I enjoyed a late afternoon meal today at L'Espresso. This is the second time that we have visited and the first time that I have done a review.
Greeting: we arrived about 3:45pm and were seated promptly. The restaurant was about 50% full and was alive and bustling.
