There are a lot of Mexican joints in this city, but this one has been dishing it out for more than 20 years. Shabby chic decor of mismatched dinette chairs and simple back patio are suitable digs for inexpensive but hearty burritos and enchiladas. Worst restaurant experience ever. Portions were small. 20 minutes t not recommend this. I feel like my night was ruined.
Food is decent but I was seriously disappointed with their margaritas. Over 25 years and running, and they're mediocre at best, what gives? Was I there on an off day?
Service was great, food was good, atmosphere was spot on, but I can't get over the margaritas.
The atmosphere is pretty nice but the food is fairly bland. Poor draught selection as well.

There's nothing fancy about La Hacienda at Queen Street West cafe, which serves basic Mexican food. The room is long, narrow and very warm, with its candle lighting and fresh-cut flowers. The decor looks like it has been gathered from garage sales, with mismatched chairs and frayed leather.
