Impressive Rejuvenation
This Italian restaurant has been a mainstay in N.Calgary for over 30 years. However, once a star, it eventually became a bit tired and predictably staid. In recent years, new ownership has come in and, though there don't really seem to be reno's, the food, service and atmosphere has been renewed and refreshed. A lovely Italian spot with great food that is now back in the running to rival the other great Italian restaurants in town. Perhaps not as intimate as some, rather more grand, but a great place for many an occasion or just when you want to fine dine Italian.

Casa d'Italia has closed. Tripadvisor needs to update its listings. We tried to eat here two weeks ago. It is now a sports bar called Nicastro, which is also unlisted in Tripadvisor. There should be a way for reviewers to alert Tripadvisor to situations like this.
I saw a button on the Tripadvisor website for noting closures but not on...

Wedding Bliss
September 25, 2013I attended this restaurant for a friends wedding. The staff were great, the food was awesome and the patio area couldn't have been more fitting for a wedding. I would love to go back and eat off the regular menu sometime soon. Thank you La Casa d'Italia Ristorante for making my good friends day extra special.

Fabulous meal
May 24, 2013We had planned a w/e in Calgary and based on the reviews here, we reserved at La Casa. Warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table.
