No so great anymore

This restaurant has changed ownership and the quality has really suffered. It's not special. You could get the same or better quality at any restaurant on Spadina now. We are a little sad since we have been coming to this place for more than 30 years. The service is so so.

Don't Be Put Off By The Grimy Exterior

I've been coming to this place since 1989 when I was a freshman at U of T. It is an institution. The waiter that was in his 20s when I first stepped through its doorway is still there 25 years later! The background of the sign above the door used to be a bright yellow but has now been bleached... more

My gf was appalled. This place is the real deal, which to a western palette maybe unpleasant. The flavors were great. I felt like I was back in China. This isn't NY Chinese food. You have been warned. But if you like AUTHENTIC Chinese food you'll dig the Jug - ***no "boneless" cuts here.
