My first experience with this company was good. Keith was prompt, polite and seemingly fair. He fixed my dryer, no problem.
But I also had a problem with my fridge, a problem that Keith couldn't identify on his first call. He gave me signs to watch for, which I did. With that information, he replaced the cool control.
Turned out the cool control was not the problem, so he replaced the starter a few weeks later, explaining that he had just had the same experience with another client, and nothing else could explain the fact that food kept thawing in the freezer. Turned out the problem was not with the starter either. At that point, I had spent about $455.
Rather than admit to being stumped, and doing his best to determine once and for all what the real problem is, Keith chose avoidance. He didn't follow up when he said he would call to arrange another appointment. He didn't return my e-mails. He didn't show up when we did have an appointment.
When we did finally speak, I said I expected my fridge to be fixed or a refund on what I had paid for the cool control and starter. (He provides a written guarantee of one year on all parts). Finally, he returned to check the fridge one more time. He said I needed to buy a new one: the compressor was going. And he gave me a refund of $160 for the second part.
