Hotel in need of minor repairs.

We arrived on a Thursday and hydro power had just been restored on Wednesday in the afternoon. The staff were still trying to get the hotel back to normal. Had to wait until 5:30 for our room to be ready. We arrived around 3:30. The rooms while big and clean do not have a friendly or appealing feel to them. They seemed almost hospital like.

The grounds are very beautiful and we enjoyed sitting and reading, staring off over the water. The hotel itself is adequate, but a little rundown. The hallways and room had a musty smell. The mattress was old and squishy, and the A/C was unable to meet the requested temperature. The window in the room opens with a crank, which broke one night (stuck in the open position). heat conked out, need to change room. I have never been to a hotel without bed spread, only adornments on the bed was a sheet and a thin blanket. no CTV, hard to believe, one of the free chanels in the province.
