Henry's, in downtown Regina, is worth visiting, for its ambiance and for the beautiful art displayed throughout, and especially on the second floor, most of it by the owner of bistro, which has been carved out of two adjacent houses. I had the quesadilla which came with fresh cranberry salsa. The salsa was amazing, as was the rest of the dish. I was tempted to try the lobster bisque but as a maritimer, i wasn't sure it would measure up. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Service was excellent!
The lobster bisque is amazing, so so good. The stew wasn't bad, the broccoli was a little overpowering. The chicken primavera is nice and the quesadillas were good. The shepherd's pie tasted good but came out like it had been slopped on the plate - spatter everywhere.
If you come for the shopping, or to browse the beautiful paintings by Henry Ripplinger, make sure you stay for a delicious meal or light snack at the cafe, which has become a staple among locals. There is truly something for everyone, including specialty sandwiches, quesadillas, soups, quiche and an ever-evolving roster of daily specials.
