Nice service and enjoyable food. Very good. Very friendly staff.
Spectacular preparation; staff took time to explain dishes and how they are prepared
One of the best Indian restaurants; real Indian food and style; All servers are knowledgeable about the food
This restaurant has very good food. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the waiters and servers were very attentive to myself and my companions. There were extremely kind and made extra efforts to make my group extremely comfortable in our dining experience. They really catered to us and I was not disappointed! I had been visiting Ottawa from Montreal with my group and the... more
Worst Indian food ever had in Canada!! Dirty place. We were group of 25+ people and opted for lunch buffet. Most gravy items taste same (although pathetic taste of all). Items were missing from buffet counter and no refills made available.
Very poor in ambiance, service and food!!!
Please don't try...

If I could give zero I would. Haveli has continued to plummet in quality. My last visit was last week. The obese owner watched while his wife and employee loaded buffet catering food into the grungy trunk of a car while Gordo stood watching. Eventually I found and paid for parking and made it to the open door before chubby informed me I could not enter (it was 445 they opened at 5). I have... more
Admittedly it was over a year since last here. Hostess/waitress was so rude that despite the good food (albeit slightly greasy on this trip), I never went back. I could not understand how they could hire someone with such a cold, unwelcoming demeanor. It started when we showed up without reservations and the hostess sneared "table for two - they don't have reservations" and continued to be... more
I did not enjoy this place. The food was tough like it had been left out to dry out or something. I also think that the restaurant was too dark, what are they trying to hide in there? Staff- not so nice! Overall I would pick another Indian restaurant next time I feel like some spice!
My first visit featured a remarkable meal which stuffed the both of us for under $50. From the Naan to the Butter Chicken, everything was expertly prepared and spiced according to our specifications. Although my companion mentioned that service is usually efficient, I had to establish waitress eye contact on a few occasions to improve the pace a bit. Still, an excellent experience and the... more
Step through the ornate front door of this Byward Market restaurant and luxuriate in rich wood paneling, antiques, brass hanging lamps and comfortable chairs. Try Beef Vindaloo or Jheenga Mumtaz (jumbo shrimp sauteed in a rich fennel sauce tempered with raisins and onions). A buffet is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays. You just might spot a celebrity or two while you are dining - Bryan Adams... more
