A generation has grown up in Hava Java, from being teen coffee fiends to parents with youngsters sharing massive Smartie cookies. Now I pop in there when I have the time for tea and some of the ridiculously good cheesecake. Staff are friendly and know what they're doing; prices are as good as any and better than some; and the place is kid-friendly as well! Yeah, it could use a good scrubbing and maybe paint job one of these days - but I get good service and don't feel like I have to watch where I put down my cup....
The atmosphere is so warm and friendly. There are a great variety of coffees to choose from and they are presented in an attractive way. There are not many teas, though, for us tea drinkers, but I still love to go there and sit in the window whilst reading the many varieties of weekly papers. The staff are all open and welcoming and friendly.
it was very welcome. and very nice spot...Recomend to anyone....
Awesome place to have a good cup of coffee or tea and just chill. Great atmosphere, downstairs is busy and upstairs is quiet with lots of tables and chairs, perfect place to have a meeting or get some work done
Best roasted red pepper soup in the city! Great staff, with the acceptation of one cranky employee that I have only encountered once! Can't say enough about the soups! Recommend them to everyone
I used to go there all the time! The lady behind the counter was very rude and snarky as I was trying to make up my mind! Sorry for wasting your time! I walk past whenever she’s working because I don’t want the harassment.
Hava Java is where you'll find St. John's young, coffee-drinking crowd. In addition to a huge selection of specialty coffees, they offer world-class hot chocolate and tea. Lunch is served during the noon hours, making this a great place to refuel while you caffeinate.
