When looking for accommodations in Forestburg your options are limited. It is a rural community where all things come small. Some fabulous small town people call it home, hence we decided to book a B&B thinking a local experience would be enjoyable. Unfortunately we were greatly disappointed with Glass Inn Bed and Breakfast.
The positive, clean.
The challenges..
Poor Welcome - when I called to confirm my reservation, yes me call rather than them, they pointed out I was only confirmed for 1 night rather than the 2 originally booked. The claim was it was not "written in the book" Unsure how that became our challenge, regardless the introduction was less than welcoming
Value - paid over $95 a night for a bed and breakfast of pancakes. No fruit, no side, pancakes. Oh and the coffee.
Dogs - love them or leave them, they have 3. Barking, jumping and in your face on every entrance and exit.
Damage charges - some grease on a blanket somehow managed to cost us $70.
Clutter - we stayed with young children and needless to say the home is very cluttered. Items everywhere, and not your fun antiques, rather clutter, all over the place. Difficult to find a surface of your own.
Room Charge - we ended up paying for a room one night that was not even used. Through a miscommunication in my family it was double paid and the owners didn't point it, hence double charging.
Service - After we complained bout the service, the owners only offer was to involve the RCMP. Not sure how the police have anything to do with poor customer service, but it definitely made us feel like a burden rather than a guest, even though the accommodations cost us over 500$ for 2 nights.
Overall I felt Forestburg was a wonderful community and my family enjoyed our visit, that said if you are looking for Forestburg accommodations, I do not recommend the Glass Inn Bed and Breakfast.
Glass Inn & Artists Studios offers these services: inns, bed and breakfast.
