The heavy carved woods of the Gasthaus remind one of Black Forest gemütlich, especially in front of the huge stone fireplace. The food is cosseting, too: a bratwurst appie with sauerkraut ($11) and wienerschnitzel and fries ($17). Gasthaus boasts the best Oktoberfest in all the Okanagan-check out the website for dates and events. Fine selection of German beers, and a tidy wine list.

Good Schnitzel
August 19, 2014Our first time to this great Peachland restaurant. It was schnitzel night with choice of sides, buffet style and dessert included. The portions are huge. Drinks were reasonable, Our whole party thoroughly enjoyed the food. Service was excellent but a bit too fast. We had hardly sipped our drinks before the food came but all in all a great place... more

Good German Food
August 13, 2014We enjoyed another family dinner at the Gasthaus restaurant in Peachland, BC last week. A variety of dishes were ordered and eaten without one complaint from approximately 20 people at the table. The food never disappoints!

August 13, 2014Enjoyable! German schnitzel and buttermilk mashed potatoes were delicious. Great wine. Not overpriced. Fab location and lively patio. Kid friendly. Great service. Would definitely return!
