Dont ever go to this place! They sell 7 months expired products!
I bought a frozen cheesecake there last week, and ate it yesterday. Later that night I had a terrible stomache, couldn't even fall asleep. Then I found out the best by date on the cake box was 3,23,10, which is SEVEN months ago. I was shocked and angry. I went to the store the next day. The store manager, Chino or Pino, denied all the responsibilities just because I only kept the credit card receipt without items listed. He could easily trace the transaction down in its system if he really cares about customers and want to find out the truth. But he refused to do it, and kept asking" if we were in a court, how could you prove you bought this cake from us?" Is this the kind of service a loyal customer like myself deserves?!! I told him the cake expired 7 month ago and I didn't feel well, and asked what he would do about it. HE SAID NOTHING WITH SMIRK. Can you believe that? What kind of customer service is this? I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THAT SHADY STORE EVER AGAIN!

This independent is ok. It's somewhere between the upper middle stores like longos and loblaws and the lower end freshco, food basics.
The butcher looked ok, but had minimal selection. The fresh section was very mediocre as well. The selection of fresh herbs was severely lacking. They did seem to have a nice selection of prepackaged goods though.
That being said, I'm not sure how frequently...

This place used to be great in terms of freshness and I don't mind paying a higher price for the convenience. But...the last few times I've been there I have noticed that many items are already beyond their freshness date.
