Just ok
August 01, 2014I went here very excited with high hopes and was let down. The service was excellent, the food was just ok. I was extremely disappointed that there was no bruschetta in an Italian restaurant since it is my favorite. I liked the meat and cheese board they had and felt like it was very authentic. Food: Our meals were OK but not that much out of the ordinary. On the positive side, dishes are served hot as pastas tend to cool down so fast.
All three of us had different dishes. One penne dish with chicken had huge piece of meat (which was appreciated). Another person had the penne pasquale which was much spicier than...

Bland, bland, bland
May 14, 2014Good, albeit greasy, calamari rings. One order enough for two people. Veal parmigiana didn't taste anything, loaded as it was with nondescript molten cheese, and a side order of al dente spaghettini, unfortunately smothered in some bland tomato sauce, without any seasoning. We had early reservations before going to a show and they sat us in the first table in front of the door. Service was poor and rushed. The waitress spent most of her time showing off her assets to the male clientele - so we four women tipped her accordingly! Overated.

Heard a lot about before going but was quite dissapointed once there: Italina kitsch all over the walls, greasy fish, oily pasta and pizza: all that at a hefty price as well. The "Goodfella" wannabes at the bar didn't help the situation either. Oh well... to each his own I guess.
