I'm biased towards this place because I worked here for 3 summers, but the Fort is really a special place. It's not the original, it's a reconstruction built in the 1970s. A massive amount of meticulous love and care was put into recreating the site and it shows.

I found this place to be wonderful. The place is very clean and well preserved. This is very educational and it bring you back in time. The fort has things to do so you can stay there all day long. This is a very interesting place to visit. While I appreciate the staff wearing period costumes, I found their insistence on staying in character to be very annoying. Honestly, I think it's quite possible for them to explain how people lived back then, without pretending that they're actually living in that time. It really gets annoying.
