It smells like a Chinese market, it looks like a Chinese market, and by golly, it is a Chinese market!

The only real market in Victoria's Chinatown with fresh vegetables and fruit being brought in pretty much everyday and displayed outside on the sidewalk.The inside though cramped and small is chock full of all sorts of Chinese and pan-Asian ingredients.

I've shopped here a dozen times so I guess I should give it 4 stars. I usually go here for random asian stuff that I can't find anywhere else, not even at the sort of asian grocery store, Fairway Market. They carry a pretty decent selection of produce and it's usually a little less expensive than out of chinatown. They also have stuff that you might not be able to find anywhere else like... more

The Fisgard Market is my go-to place for all things grocery. Being an asian grocery store, their selection of asian goods is fantastic. They have everything you could want in a grocery store (inexpensive fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, eggs, canned goods, etc.) except meats. I mean, they do have meat, but it's mostly in heavily salted sausage form. Don't go too early in the day before... more
