Not only a great place on the weekend, but great for weekday lunch. Weekends are actually quieter than during the week as the business crowd packs this place basically every weekday. Either way, the menu is really, really good. Good selection of brews of course.
there aren't a lot of irish pubs downtown they seem to all be in suburban neighbourhoods. this is the exception and it's in eau claire so it's a pretty cool place. i would have expected it to be overpriced, but it's not, it's reasonable.
I'm not sure that this concept is still going on, but they used to have free raw oysters on Friday. Unbelievable, I know, but they would only have a limited amount. Fresh and delicious. Besides that, this is a GREAT Irish pub for after work, lunch, dinner, whatever. Good food on the menu, good drinks, good atmosphere with TVs, music, and alway some kind of interesting special.
Good food, reasonably priced, with a varied menu and a cheery and relaxing atmosphere.
I had the ruben which may seem odd, and you're not wrong, but it was so good, it was right.
Marble rye, really moist pastrami, great sauerkraut, fantastic pickles.
But maybe what was most surprising was the Irish chips, fresh cut potato chips served with a sriacha-mayo sauce...unreal.
They had a good selection of beers and the indoor seating was nice, as was the patio. A good find for a place...

I highly recommend the fish and chips. I wasn't really hungry but I devoured it. Pretty good atmosphere for a Tuesday night. I'll be back to try the Guinness burger.
Who would've thought hotel pub food could be this good? Their menu has a wide selection of pub fare. I opted for a more standard dish, fish & chips. The fish & chips quite good. We had the stuffed mini Yorkies to start and they were great too.
Services was fast and friendly. When we mentioned we were in a hurry to catch a movie the food came out in no time.
Great drink selection and specials....

Fionn MacCool's Irish Pub offers these services: hotel, restaurant, lodging.
The ornate fixtures at Fionn MacCool's have been brought over from the old country, and the bar itself is Guinness approved, meaning visitors will find a true pint of the dark nectar. The crowd is decidedly up market and quite rightly so, considering the luxurious profile of the hotel within which it sits. The affordable pub style menu ranges from traditional Celtic dishes to traditional Irish... more
