A chocolate lovers' paradise!

Érico is both a fancy chocolate shop and a small chocolate museum, where visitors can learn about the history of cocoa dating from Mayan times to the present. The chocolate museum displays more than 200 artefacts related to the evolution and cultural significance of chocolate: chocolate pots, moulds, old-fashioned tools, stamps, ads, etc. You may... more

Un incontournable

Excellent service.

Gourmet chocolates in an old-timey shop that includes a small room with historical information about how chocolate is made. Flavors include Szechuan, jasmine, chai cardamom, and hibiscus sorbet. You can also buy ice cream here for just over C$1.

Oh my word, this pale is wonderful! The museum is small, but fascinating and free. It's really interesting and you can buy and sample all the different types of chocolate for 25 cents. The chocolate shop itself is lovely with a great variety to choose from, gift boxes and really nice staff willing to assist. Aside from buying chocolates, the hot chocolate selection is not to be missed and so... more

Ooo... this place smells delicious! Chocolatey! The museum is small & it's free. You enter the museum through the retail store section. They sells a lot of chocolates. Definitely worth stopping by especially if you have a sweet tooth!

My husband and I were walking down the street, enjoying the wonderful weather and trying to walk off our delicious lunch, when I spotted Erico's sign across the street. My sweet tooth then demanded that we check it out, and my husband was game since a) we had just gotten married and he was willing to indulge my ridiculousness, and b) the sign also said 'museum.'

We entered into the retail... more

All you lovers of chocolate find your way to Érico, if you want to give in to your dark temptations. Take in the many objects on display at the museum. Furthermore, learn the secrets of chocolate making and also watch a video demonstration. Then move on to the most interesting part, ordering your choice of chocolates! Home delivery is available too.

Québec is known for its museums, and this one ranks right at the top of the list. Not only does the Choco-Musée Érico offer some fascinating exhibits on the history of chocolate and the process of making it, but they also offer samples! After your tour, you can enjoy more goodies in the chocolate shop, all made on the premises: ice cream, cookies, brownies, cake, hot chocolate, and traditional... more
