A Horror Story !

After purchasing carpet and underlay for our basement, basement bedroom and stairway it was finally installed and within 2 weeks we experienced abnormal wear and fraying. On examination of the problem the carpet installer stated that it was a carpet problem. The store principle, Rob, was contacted and both he and a representative of the carpet manufacture have inspected the carpet and installation. Rob has failed to respond to voice messages left, asking to return calls, emails sent asking for status updates and results of carpet tests performed by the manufacture and registered letters sent requesting what was to be done in respect to our carpet and underlay problems. To date we have not heard a word and this situation has now been going on for over 2 years.

Let the buyer beware doesn't matter in the case of purchasing carpet for the purchaser has no idea if what is he/she believes they have purchased in actually what is being installed nor if it is installed properly unless one has an independent expert examine the carpet and installation after the fact and by then it's to late to complain as we have discovered, much to our shock and dismay !
