Authentic Mexican cuisine by Chef/co-owner Carlos Perez Huerta, from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Gail Knox de Perez, his Canadian wife. Casual, yet classy atmosphere, seating for 130 inside in 2 dining rooms plus bar, 225 on summer patio. Opened in fall, 2000.

Great authentic Mexican food
Most menu prices seem a little steep although the portions you end up with are usually more than adequate. You will likely get to meet Carlos the owner as he usually takes drink orders or helps the waitress out whenever he can. He may seem rude as you will be grunted at (his English is still not great), but it's just part of the charm of this place.
Great food. Solid service.
My wife and I went on a Friday night. We ate outside on the patio which was great. The food was fantastic. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Mexican food. The service was solid. Best Mexican food I've eaten in Atlantic Canada.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Not quite as pretty from the outside, but the food more than makes up for it. They've been listed three or four times in "Where to Eat in Canada". Carlos (the owner) is from Puerto Vallarta, and does all of his own cooking, so the restaurant doesn't really have a set closing time -- usually between 8:30 and 9pm though.
