Dont waste your time or money

I regret giving this place even one star it would be more realistic if it was 0 stars

Please please please – for the love of your wallet and your own sanity
Do not go here !

I took the multimedia graphic design and development course here – well guess what
Surprise surprise – even though I made excellent marks – and id says my stuff is good
I went to “CompuCollege” – and none will hire me!

Their teaching standards suck

no creativity - straight out of the book - i could have bought and taught myself

teachers who'd rather just work on their own "stuff"

courses that had nothing to do with field your studying

not enough attention on prevalent information needed to work in that field

They use outdated equipment

I'm sorry but if your teaching design
you should be using Mac’s – at the least vista
– not xp!

Horrible plastic chairs I used in preschool – that absolutely killed your back

my things were stolen right out of the "locked classroom"

The bathrooms were unhygienic
– ceiling was caving in from the bathroom above over flowing

I had one good teacher the whole time I was their – and when I graduated I found out he was getting canned

Now I have to go back
( definitely not to the compucollege!)

to get re-trained in another field for the possibility of a job

Places like the Compu College should be prosecuted even though they are a “private” college.

There should be some standards to protect students.

I hate that I’ve given these a@!%!**s my hard earned money and time and now all I have is a piece of paper that’s virtually worthless

i may wipe my a@s with it and mail to the dean

I think I should be able to give back my diploma in return for my money!

for those of you thinking of going back to school
here are some tips

1.figure out what you want to do !

2. find out if theirs a need in that field - and if its a traditionally "male/female" field

not that it should be an issue today but...
and I'm not saying your not capable of doing it - but be prepared for a fight - and an uphill battle - as I've found out - because i don't have testicles I'm not equipped for the job - and theirs nothing you can do about it - because you cant prove it!

3.research very carefully the places you want to go

4.visit it a few times to get a feel of the place and not just what they "want" you to see until after they've got your money-

4.talk to people who've gone their before

5. find out what the ratio for hireing from that school is in the field

6.talk to people in that industry and what schools they might recommend

7.don't fall for the bull of

" 90% of our students go on to successful careers"
because you will fall into that 10% that doesn't!

well that's what i think anyway!

Not to bad
August 14, 2011

Agreed it is okay. Some of the instructors are excellent, some are attrocious, but I went to Holland College and experienced the same. I do like the hand on stuff. Whatever floats your boat I guess

Not a place, thus far
February 13, 2011

Overall not a bad school. Some of the courses I have taken are very practical and helpful. Some are a waste of time and space. I do enjoy the hands on and half days classes which is less pressure. So far, so good in regards to me.
