We enjoyed dinner for 2 at District the other night. We ordered the salmon salmon roll, and negrimachi (hamichi and green onions) roll and the chirashi dinner. The salmon salmon roll is an excellent choice for those who love "spicy salmon rolls" at other establishments. Great flavour, and just a step above the norm. The negrimachi (not sure if I got the name of that right), but it was a delicious mix of hamachi and green onions, quite excellent and unique. The Chirashi was also excellent, contained the usual suspects (samon, tuna, white fish, etc, they also added some shitake, and seaweed salad). The portion sizes are good - not overly huge. Would definitely go back!
I will go here many times in the near future... so glad I found this online
I must have eaten a Green Dragon Roll at over 100 Sushi restuarants and Districts Roll topped the Charts. It was so tasty and fresh. The venue was awesome a pefect date Nite venue
District bills itself as a modern Japanese bistro. While standard sushi restaurant offerings like tempura, miso soup and maki line the menu, the vibe is more sleek and sexy and sharing of plates (tapas style) is encouraged.

Intimate lighting and leather booths contribute to the sleek lounge-like interior of this Riverdale restaurant. Affordable Japanese bites include a variety of sushi and maki options, as well as larger entrees like grilled salmon and chicken teriyaki. Lunch Sat.-Sun., dinner Mon.-Sat. Casual. Entrees: $4-$22. Sushi District is one of several new eateries opening up in the increasingly gentrified Leslieville area. Sushi District replaces Woodgreen Fish & Chips, a beloved 30-year old institution. The new restaurant is minimally decorated with chandeliers, a black and white colour scheme and LED lights. After dark, the place feels like a lounge. The menu offers traditional Japanese fare with a twist,... more
