This again was a great disappointment in regards to my expectations. Death By Chocolate is a small bistro specializing in what they claim to be custom deserts. Everything they sell lacks any real flavour and has poor texture as if it were processed rather than custom made. The service is very slow and the employees seem unenthusiastic about working there. You can purchase far better deserts at a local grocery store for a fraction of the price.
Great selection of dessets - more than just chocolate. Great variety of hot drinks - with or without whip cream and garnish - but prices are a wee bit high.
Was craving for something decadent and came here with high hopes with a friend. I ordered the triple mousse chocolate cake while my friend ordered the apple caramel pie. The price is that of a fine dining restaurant (expensive) but the deserts' quality was mediocre- comparable to what you could get from supermarket bulk buy. Definitely not worth the price.... more
We'd had dinner somewhere else, and were feeling jolly about indulging on chocolate. Paid $6.75 for a good looking but not so tasty slice of cake, mousse or ganache with thin cakey layer between. WOW! Great desserts! If you love to sit, relax and enjoy great desserts and specialty coffee...this is the place to be! Sometimes the waits are long...but thats cuz so many people want to eat here!
