My experience with Sam... he seems to be very knowledgeable, and courageous IF he feels he is going to sale something. I left my $400 bike for tuneup,
1. When I got it back, its back wheel was crocked and the bike was dirty.
2. I ask couple of questions about accessories like pedals and saddles for my existing bike. He wisely suggest me to buy a new bike. After I give a second thought, I decided not to buy a new bike and keep this one for one more summer. When Sam saw that I was not going to buy the new bike, he turned his back and left me alone, although I still wanted to buy the pedals and saddle.
3. When I returned to get the back wheel fix, Sam tried to fix it right away, but I still noticing something wrong with the wheel, so I asked him. He said that it was probably something wrong with the wheel, and he insisted me in buying a new bike.
I think he is peevish and lacks of costumer service. There are dozens of stores that offer the same product with much better service.
Bottom line, I think this is a great store if you are a very experience rider, who likes to comply with the sales person suggestions.
Couple of day ago I went to a different store where I bought the new wheel, saddle, pedals and couple other things. The guy spent a good 25 to 30 min. with me and my girlfriend, who left her bike for tune up. When she got her bike back, it was like new. At the end of this summer, I am definitely going back to him to buy a new bike with his good customer service, he secured a sale and my loyalty.
Came in a couple weeks ago in search for a new bike...I have a bike already but I had left it outside uncovered for the last 2 yrs and it was destroyed by the weather...or so I thought! When I was telling a sales rep about my story he had mentioned they could repair it for me and it would be a lot cheaper then buying a brand new bike. SOLD! brought it in for what I like to call a little "tune up" and am so happy with their work! Thats what I call great service! Thank you so much guys!!
I've been to many shops in the past few years.
Customer service is not very high on the list for most of them but The Cyclepath in Woodbridge had GREAT service and they were very knowlegable.
They even offered coffee while I was waiting. I would recommend this shop to anyone.
