The first Fine Dining Experience to Hit Locke St. Well Done!
My partner and I tried out The Courtyard on opening night last week and we were very impressed. Locke St is a lovely street with an eclectic mix of restaurants on offer- this one is the first Fine Dining establishment for Locke St and a wonderful sign of how vital this street is for Hamilton.
We enjoyed the music of an accomplished gentleman playing a gorgeous baby grand piano. The music complemented the decor: warm hues, gorgeous artwork, tapestry rugs, linen covered tables, complementing chairs of wood and leather, and 2 seperate eating areas.
The food was delightful! We tried the lamb sausage to start and I tried the vegetable main (something I've never done but was glad I did) and finished with Chocolate Pate. Everything was top notch.
The service was terrific, the timing was great- we didn't feel rushed at all.
This is a great special occasion or "just because" place to go to with your loved one or friends. This restaurant is a great addition to an already great street.

Lovely evening

Our group of 11 ladies enjoyed a lovely evening at the Courtyard on a recent Friday night. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was fabulous. Parking is on street – so a bit of driving around to find a spot.
Really enjoyed this meal. Several of us chose it and my only comment would be that some got considerably more “stuffing” in theirs that was in my portion. None the less it was...

Great place for a crepe.
There's a lovely little courtyard hidden in the back (hence the name).
I'd recommend the Tzatziki Chicken crepe with the citrus salad.
Great place to bring a book or a laptop and stay a while.
