Good variety of vegetarian options and excellent salad bar. Pay - by - weight though so if you're a big eater or like more water-heavy foods, this can cost you lots. Quality is good but I would not return here because of cost.
I've been to Commensal a couple of times now and the food, while nice, isn't the best. It is passable, but not anything worth making a long trip.
i've been going to commensal for years and have never been disappointed by the food and selection. this is my go to spot when i'm going to be dining with vegetarians.

The hot food was cold, and tasted bland- rather like eating cardboard. Even the girl behind the counter rang my order in a partly comatose state. DO NOT GO HERE!
We went for dinner, it was good. Great variety. All fresh eventhough I imagine their busy time is lunch.More of a buffet style, upper class cafeteria. Like most healthy restaurants, you pay for what you get. Fresh fruits and veggies (especially organic items) are not cheap people!!
