Vegetarian delight, expensive

Good variety of vegetarian options and excellent salad bar. Pay - by - weight though so if you're a big eater or like more water-heavy foods, this can cost you lots. Quality is good but I would not return here because of cost.

Decent Vegetarian Food

I've been to Commensal a couple of times now and the food, while nice, isn't the best. It is passable, but not anything worth making a long trip.

Disappointed

I had high hopes for this all vegetarian buffet. We had a coupon which made the meal more affordable but I cannot imagine paying full price for the quality of food and experience we encountered. We sampled many of the dishes from both the cold and hot buffet and nothing on the menu was particularly flavourful. Food from the hot buffet was not very hot. For the price, this restaurant is just not... more

Terrible!
May 31, 2012

I went here for dinner, it was an all-over terrible experience. The salads were so soggy it looked (and tasted) like they had sat in that buffet for hours on end. The hot food was cold, and tasted bland- rather like eating cardboard. Even the girl behind the counter rang my order in a partly comatose state. DO NOT GO HERE!

good fresh food, but expensive yes

We went for dinner, it was good. Great variety. All fresh eventhough I imagine their busy time is lunch.More of a buffet style, upper class cafeteria. Like most healthy restaurants, you pay for what you get. Fresh fruits and veggies (especially organic items) are not cheap people!!

Nobody has to say "Finish your vegetables" in this spacious, 5,000 sq.-foot cafeteria-style restaurant. You purchase only what you want (by weight), and there's a vast array of items. Salads, soups, sandwiches, hot entrees (more than 25), desserts you don't have to die for, fresh juices and lots of charm. Although most patrons are non-vegetarians wanting a healthy meal or snack, certain entrees... more
