Actually for PG this is about as fancy as it's gonna get. I stayed here when I was interviewing for a job a number of years back and was well satisfied. The coffee shop is what i come back to now. Good breakfasts and, for what it's worth, one of the hangouts for the city's "movers and shakers".
In regards to the restaurant....the only polite one in the whole restaurant is the male server....the others are rude!
One of the best of British Columbia's Coast hotel chain is right in the thick of things in downtown Prince George. The guest rooms are nicely furnished; the corner suites are large, with king-size beds, a balcony, and lots of light and space (some suites have Jacuzzis). Among the numerous facilities is an indoor pool. Small pets are allowed in the guest rooms.
We haven't stayed at the Coast for many years but got a great deal through Hotwire so we decided to try it out again. I stay at Coast hotels wherever they are available. The consistency of their friendly and highly accommodating service keeps me returning. I checked in on Friday and paid $129.99 and was told breakfast was not included in my stay. Next morning, I saw their promotion that if you stayed in the hotel and paid over 120 per night (under the 'Inn from the cold' or something similar) - you receive a breakfast voucher and complimentary cookies.
