A popular, fun (albeit cramped) space for casual plates anytime of day: maple bacon and smoked cheddar sandwiches at breakfast; bison tongue Ruebens, ancho-braised brisket, or roast pork with Czech dumplings and caraway gravy for lunch or dinner. My table had the Flat Iron with Goat Cheese, Salmon with couscous, and Orange chicken confit for entrees. They were all amazing!! For dessert we had chocolate brûlée, apple fritter (not the donut) and a cheesecake stuffed pear.... That's right!!! A cheesecake stuffed pear. The desserts were insane!!!! Between this site and that other major review site, reviews for The Clay Pigeon are all over the place. So here is my opinion:

Stew - Lamb is such a delicate flavor, it is easy to overpower it with other bolder flavors which unfortunately is what Clay Pigeon has managed to accomplish. The tomato...

Excellent little hip restaurant. Slightly out of the way - we walked from near the harbor, and it's probably a half mile or so. Not comfy for the wife and daughters in their sandals. Service was excellent and attentive. Was practically empty when we arrived at 7pm on a Thursday, but had a decent crowd when we left. Fried oyster appetizer was not delicious, but I don't think it was preparation... more
