Yes, it's cheap, but that's not the point; the name actually comes from an open market that once occupied this street, named after a similar market in London. The Art Gallery was on our "to do" list on a recent visit to Halifax so when a friend mentioned we should meet there for lunch it sounded perfect. This is a small café inside the Art Gallery, but it’s bright and funky with lots of modern art. Very enjoyable lunches - I really enjoy their soups and sandwiches! Great lunch place for anyone in downtown Halifax, especially if you're visiting the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
