As an American Soldier who served on joint missions with Canadian Forces in Kandahar from 2010-2011, I was sorely disappointed over no representation or mention of the Afghanistan conflict. Perhaps there's a political component to the discussion, but I believe Canada has a 13 year legacy in Afghanistan which should be memorialized.
The tactful nature of this museum is really what puts it over the top. Everythign is clean and polished and in working order - there is a tangible sense of respect by all the employees and guides.
We bought tickets in advance, not realizing that CF members got in free, but it was easily worth the $13. I had been through once before back in Basic, and not much had changed since then other than...

It is hard to do justice to the incredible sacrifice Canadian soldiers have made but the War museum does a admirable job. The exhibits are interactive, informative and engaging.
