The place is cute. The service and food presentation all depends on who you are. I looked around and noticed that other than the staff I think I was the only Italian in the place and take it from a true Italian the food is all right, not bad but not what I expected.

Vraiment excellent. Je suis allée le midi sur la terrasse et c'est tout simplement succulent, bon service et la terrasse est un coin enchanteur. Les sauces sont exquises et le tiramisu: hummmmmmm!!!

le "il cortile" est une restaurant et non pas un fast food pour ceux qui voit les mauvaise critique apres plusieur repas je dois admettre que c'est queque fois bruyant mais l'ambiance du resto italien est la, la terrasse est sublime, les gnocci toujours excellentoui les menu sont en italien et ca va avec le style du resto ici on est pas au giorgio la carte des vin est elaborer et plusieur... plus

Nice, Small Italian Restaurant Street in Easy Location
23 novembre 2013I had a nice meal last night at Il Cortile. Very good food, good wine list (but quiet expensive, and mostly skewed Italian), fairly good service, and average/nice atmosphere. No complaints. Since there are so many good choices in Montreal, this one would likely benefit for its location on Sherbrooke St West. It is convenient to get to for those... plus

Buried deep within a tiny building and with little indication of what awaits, this Italian restaurant has enthralled patrons for 15 years. The décor is functional, with a white-tiled floor to match white linens. Food includes pasta and meat or fish entrees. The atmosphere is delightful, with Puccini in the background, and the best tiramisu in Montreal. Service is breezy yet attentive.... plus
