If you eat here, ensure that you sit in the patio- the outdoor dining option here is great. The food is good and the menu is quite extensive. We particularly liked the vegetarian dishes. We had no complaints. The service was also quick and efficient.
Its tropical flavor, splashy Caribbean art, and peppery cuisine (a curious mixture of island cooking and pan-Asian) have kept this place superheated for more than 20 years. My recent dinner at Savana Cafe was disappointing. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I had the jerk Cornish hen and pork belly as a main and codfish fritters as a starter. The fritters were border line burnt and the jerk dish wasn't memorable. The highlights of the evening were the Thai spiced creme brulee and sparkling sangria.

WE stopped into this cozy cafe, very relaxing and super service. Just watching people come and go with smiles, makes you smile too.

This is the place I take visitors when they come to Ottawa. It does have smallish rooms, but that's part of the charm. The menu shocks at first, you can't imagine what any dish will taste like, but we've always loved our choices. It never disappoints and brings our guests back to town every time!
