Perhaps its relative geographic obscurity on the far west side of the city, the unassuming and some would say uninviting exterior facade or just the power of rumors, but it seems to me that Café D’Lite has a unique impression in the minds of many Vancouver diners in that although popular, reports of its demise seem always front and center. Call it the Mark Twain of the city’s restaurant scene.

Best boneless Hainanese Chicken rice
May 17, 2014So this review is really for the sister location located in Aberdeen Centre in Richmond - Cafe D'Lite Express. I could not find the sister company on tripadvisor. December 05, 2012Café D'Lite is located in a posh area of Vancouver West, east of UBC. For their prices, you don't really get a delicious meal. Their Hainanese Chicken rice doesn't come with soup included (something I thought was a part of a traditional hainanese chicken meal). Coupled with sub-standard customer service, and unheard-of take-out charges, this is definitely a place I would walk right by.
