Never again..

My experience at Brock St Animal Hospital was not one that a new puppy owner would like to go through.

I had purchased my puppy on the Sunday and had her first check up on the Tuesday at this location, everyone was really friendly so I felt extremely comfortable. The veterinarian came in and I told him/her that I was concerned about 3 things about my pup, they examined her and reassured me everything was okay with her and that she was healthy.

The following week I noticed her symptoms started to worsen drastically, therefore I called them back wanting to get her reexamined, although I had just brought her in 8 days ago they still quoted me for a new examination fee at 70$, I found this outrageous due to the fact I had just brought her in and they had obviously missed something. I therefore decided I was going to try another Vet near my home, not only was this veterinarian able to diagnose my puppy with all 3 things I was concerned about and prescribed her medication, she was so extremely knowledgeable and taught me how to clean my puppies ears out, how to brush her teeth properly, these things were never discussed at the Brock St Animal Hospital, the vet there seemed more interested on how we were potty training the pup and how she was getting along with my other dog. Not useful information considering I am bringing in a sick puppy.

I then contacted the Brock St Animal Hospital informing them that their Veterinarian had somehow been able to miss everything I had been concerned about and how I feel that my puppy had not been properly examined and I Had wanted to be refunded the examination fee because I had felt as if she hadn't been examined properly if another vet was able to diagnose her 8 days later with Kennel Cough, an Ear infection, Eye infection and Cherry eye. The Brock Street Animal Hospital then tried to tell me that all of this could have happened within 8 days which I found ridiculous considering these were things I had brought up during the first visit. With that said and done after 30 minutes on the phone with the owner or head vet at the hospital arguing back and forth as to how their vet could have missed all of these I was told that I could not have my refund back because they feel that their vet had properly examined her.

Anyways, for anyone who is looking for a great Veterinarian for their dog and is truly concerned about keeping their animal healthy, please think twice about where you bring them and look further into it.
