Bowmanville Zoo has over 300 creatures including many famous animal celebrities. Visit them amidst 42 scenic acres of untamed, natural parkland. Bowmanville Zoo is Canada's oldest privately owned zoo. We're almost 100 years old. Here we're dedicated to the protection and conservation of endangered species.

Great Zoo, Great Animals and Great Keepers

An all round great place to visit. Once your admission is paid, you can enjoy animal enounters, carnival rides, splash pad, an animal show in the animaltheatre all inclusive. Extra cost for camel rides and pictures taken with baby lion cubs....so cute. The staff do a carnivore feeding and stand and tell you all about the big cats and wolves,... more

It is the smallest zoo ever! If you want a small zoo that your young child can walk around and enjoy go to elmvale!! So many more animals bowmanville zoo had way to many empty encloses and just didn't seem to be kept clean.

I know better. I have heard the negative words. It's been years though and I had to see again for myself. Now that I have small children (8 and under) I thought I might give it another try.
