Teak and mahogany furnishings, marble fireplaces, Victorian-style wallpaper, and a painted ceiling mural all add to the ambience at this 1887 sea captain's mansion. Pleasant little inn. It is beautiful manse with a long stairway up. The rooms are all named with updated bathrooms throughout. Stay downstairs and have a drink in the front rooms or check out the delicious restaurant on property. The fresh baked muffins in the morning are also great.

*Referring to the restaurant only. The Inn was included as our gourmet lunch in a day-long wine tour (bus from Halifax to the Valley and back). Wisely, our tour guide called in our menu orders from the bus prior to arrival, to save on time waiting at the table.
