The Scene
A popular weekend spot, the line up starts fairly early (usually by nine or ten o'clock). By Vancouver standards, the Blarney Stone is the perfect place to bring a large group because of the long wooden tables and benches that encourage conversation and offer group seating. With a bar both upstairs and down, the lineups are short and the service is friendly.

Food is terrible. I feel for people who think this is a 'typical' Irish pub. The only thing Irish about it is the name! No Irish staff, expensive drinks, and no atmosphere. Try the Irish Heather right next door instead if you want authentic Irish.
This place is okay. It's your typical Irish pub, with two levels, live music, and a dance floor. Seeing as the Foggy Dew Irish Pub is five minutes from my house, I can't really justify going all the way downtown to pay cover for something that I can enjoy closer, and for free entry and coat check!

I had supper this evening at the Blarney Stone.
It's a big pub ... they have lots of room in the back and upstairs. But everyone was sitting in the front, near the open windows and at the bar.
I saw a woman pouring her beer into a water bottle, which she put into her purse before she left. Hmmmm ...
When she and the fella she was with left, I moved over to their table as it was on the patio....
