Fantastic!!!!!!
I live directly across the street and usually go for brunch ( which is fabulous by the way and SO much better than Petit Dejeuner, in terms of quality, price and appearance), but i thought i'd try out the "Dinner for 2" special. WOW! The quality we got for the price was AMAZING!! The mushroom risotto was incredible ( and i'm Italian ;) ) and the Seafood Linguine was to die for! Plus we got salads and desserts, all for an incredible price. I love love love this place and don't know why the masses aren't lining up for this locale instead of Petit Dejeuner....also our waitress Caitlin was super duper sweet and accomodating :)
An excellent find
Food was excellent. Will go again. Wait staff needs to focus more on work than socializing. Ownerdid an excellent job making up for wait staff shortcomings, but he shouldn't have to. Especially as he is a CHIEF, and an excellent one at that. Great food at nexcellent price.
Awesome spot!
I went to Bistro 243 last weekend with my boyfriend for an early dinner before a movie, and really enjoyed it! I love that the specials change daily- it shows that they serve what looks best that day. The quality and value of the food was great- we will definitely be back!

1st visit & impressed
Stars are relative to restau-type Near Tannenbaum Theatre (yeah). Super friendly wait staff (in good taste & balance). Had the Calamari apps & the mains arrived precisely when we asked. Tastes are really good. Tandoori shrimp & Spicy Thai StirFry w beef - good spicing & portions Like the menu & small Bistro atmosphere. Could be an oasis where none others exist yet! If return visits are repeats of satisfaction, then the stars can go to 4 ...

Delicious food at good prices
May 27, 2014I love eating here. Such a great variety on the menu and pretty affordable, especially on their specials. The waitstaff are incredibly friendly as well. A few favourites include the butter chicken, butternut squash ravioli, mushroom risotto, spinach salad, grilled chicken and avocado sandwich and the bruschetta.

Great lunch and Brunch
