Cozy neighborhood place. Cuisine doesn't shine but they make you feel comfortable. Pub grub without the flair. Hand formed burger was prepared as ordered. Fries were hot and crisp. Friend's shepherd's pie was hearty and steaming hot. Won't soon make Toronto's top 100 but good enough for return visit
Food was very good, company was nice and the location is prime to my room. I liked the atmosphere of the place and the bartender and waitress were on the ball. Thanks for a nice time
We went there late on Grey Cup Friday and we were the only ones there. It's a nice place with lots of soft seating and agood layout. The restaurant was closed, which was annoying, so we just stayed for a drink. I think it would be good for groups if you go early enough.
Formerly owned by Toronto Star cartoonist Ben Wicks, this restaurant strives to capture an authentic pub feel. How can you tell? The pub section of the restaurant seats twice as many as the dining room and the menu was created by one very homesick Cockney.
